My Philosophy

My personal aesthetic combines diverse furniture design styles with unexpected elements, incorporating bold color & patterns all while highlighting unique items of personal value. For me, Sassy Suburban is distinctive suburban living.

Whether it’s helping modern families decorate and organize or showing businesses how to make the workplace stylish and comfortable, I will help you create a place to recharge, relax, and connect to the things that matter most to you. You know what you like, but oftentimes the number of options and decisions can be overwhelming, which can slow down the design process, or worse, make you give up. I want to encourage your brilliant ideas and eliminate those that may not be feasible, affordable, or prudent for resale purposes. My goal is to help you navigate through those options and decisions so that when you walk into a space we’ve collaborated on, you reap the maximum positive effects of your environment.

About Kat Hajduk

I’m Kat Hajduk.  I am a visual person and making things pleasing to the eye is a pleasure of mine. I wear fun clothes and smile a lot, which makes me feel good. I’m that lady in your small town that saunters into wherever – grocery store, thrift shops, or a fast food joint – decked out in a super fierce outfit. Not always, of course, but you get my drift! I’m known for my eye for detail,  ability to see potential in anything, and I love to help others feel good about themselves and their surroundings, too.

In my previous professional career, I earned a Design Degree in Product Development from FIDM and spent 7 years in the fashion industry. As I transitioned into Real Estate, Interior Design, and Contracting, I discovered a passion for working with people and helping them transform their spaces into beautiful rooms they love living in.  In my spare time, I’m probably listening to an audiobook while gardening or working on a reupholstering project.  If I’m tired, I’m watching a mystery, sci-fi, or horror show.  My adventures usually include flea markets, traveling with my husband, or hiking with my son.
