Recently we have had a book landslide situation going on in my son’s room.

Really the problem was an inadequate bedside table.  I have been keeping an eye out for narrow bookcases but none of them seem to have the capacity to hold oversized books.  Much like these vintage books my husband and I insist on sharing with our son because we loved them so much when we were kids!

These books are 13″ tall and some of the books are 12″ deep! This may not seem very big as you read this but let me tell you, this is gigantic for a small bedside piece of furniture.

I had finally reached my limit for slipping on books so I trekked down to Ikea hoping they could provide a solution that wouldn’t break the bank. Thankfully I found something that not only looks good but can be utilized in multiple ways.

This $30 Sunnersta Utility Cart from Ikea is able to hold all the books while looking cute and stylish.  Plus, when my son wants to change things up and no longer wants this in his room, I can set up a cocktail bar on the screened-in porch?
